Supporting the Arts at San Jac
Donations:
Our fine arts programs can benefit from items you may no longer use or have need for. Have an instrument collecting dust in the attic or garage? Maybe you have arts and crafts supplies you no longer need. Even regular household items or gently used clothing can serve as great props and costumes for our theatre productions. Clothing such as dresses, hats, pants, shirts, and shoes are always welcome, as are household items such as furniture, dishes, pictures, etc. If you have any items that you wish to donate, our students would be happy to pick them up, or you may drop them off on campus. All donations are tax deductible.
For information on making a donation please call 281-998-6150 and ask to speak with the department you would like to make a donation to (music, art, theatre, etc.) and specify which campus you would like to donate to (Central, North, or South).
Central Campus Theatre Scholarship:
Theatre San Jacinto (TSJ) performs six to eight productions per year, hosts University Interscholastic League (U.I.L.) events for high schools, competes in the American College Theatre Festival, attends state and regional conventions and workshops, and visits over 15 local high schools during the Spring semester.
When you combine these activities with a full course load this leaves little room for outside employment for our theatre students. However, the majority of our students do have outside jobs to pay for their living expenses. We need your help. The San Jacinto College Foundation is seeking donations for the establishment of the Central Campus Theatre Scholarship fund. The San Jacinto College Foundation is a non-profit 501©(3) corporation that is organizationally and fiscally separate from San Jacinto College. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowable by the Internal Revenue Code. For more information about the Foundation, call 281-998-6104. We appreciate your consideration and possible donation to our students. If you have questions, call Dr. Jerry Ivins at 281-476-1828 or email jerry.ivins@sjcd.edu.
