Employment of pharmacy technicians is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations. This demand will be due to the expansion of retail pharmacies, the increased number of middle-aged and elderly people, and the increasing roles and responsibilities of pharmacy technicians.
Graduates of our program are able to work as pharmacy technicians in:
- Nursing homes,
- Home health care, and
- Public and government health agencies.

The Pharmacy Technician Program at South campus accepts students twice a year; the Fall semester for the full-time day program and the Spring semester for the full-time evening program. Application deadlines are July 31st for the Fall semester and January 8th for the spring semester.
The Pharmacy Technician Program at North campus accepts students once a year; the Fall semester for full-time day program and for part-time afternoon program. Application deadlines is July 31st.
Once the deadline for applications has passed, all completed files will be reviewed and processed.

All applicants are required to purchase and pass the background check and drug screen testing BEFORE they are allowed to register for any Pharmacy Technician course. Acceptance to the Pharmacy Technician Program is based on open enrollment, first come first serve basis. If a student meets all basic requirements, he/she is accepted for admission. When the program capacity is reached, qualified applicants are placed on a waiting list in the order their application was received, and they are offered admission during the next admission cycle.
