Thinking about attending San Jacinto College but don’t know where to start? The Office of Recruiting is here to help you navigate through the admissions process regardless of student type. Our Recruiters visit with students through a variety of events in the community as well as at local high schools. Our services include:


Recruiters facilitate presentations for all age levels K-12th covering a variety of grade specific topics. Examples include an overview of the admissions process for 9th – 12th graders, preparing for college for 5th-8th graders, and career exploration for K – 4th graders.

School Visit

Recruiters visit local area high schools to meet with potential students and guide them through the admissions process. These may include lunch visits, application days and other college awareness events.

We also attend College Days at elementary and middle schools to promote college and career awareness.

Application Day

Are you looking for help in completing your Apply Texas application? Recruiters work with local high schools to schedule application days throughout the school year.

Campus Tours

The Office of Recruiters welcomes tour groups of more than 10 people to visit one of our four campus locations. Tours are open to all grade levels. Teachers or counselors interested in setting up a campus tour should complete the Tour Request Form.

Community Events

Recruiters attend a variety of events in our community throughout the year such as college fairs, college awareness events, and more. Check out our Upcoming Events calendar to see where you can find us next.

Find Your Student Type:

Students who have never before attended college, including home school students. Some students may have completed some dual credit classes at another college or university.

Students who have taken classes previously at San Jacinto College and have not attended in the last 2 semesters, but want to return.

Students who are interested in transferring from San Jacinto College or a university student coming to San Jacinto College from another institution.  

Dual credit students are students who are still in high school and also completing college classes for credit. Early College High School students will complete their first two years in college during their last two years of high school.

Students who have honorably served our country may be eligible to use their veteran educational benefits to help pay for school. Dependents and spouses of veterans may also be eligible to use veteran educational benefits.

There are many types of International students. Some may already be in the U.S. while others may be coming here from their home country.

Students who have completed their GED, but have not yet attended a college or university.

Continuing and Professional Development classes are non-credit offerings, workforce development, or life-long learner courses.

Students 65 or older are eligible for a tuition break.

If you do not have a diploma or GED, you may be eligible for special approval to pursue your college education.
