Testing
Everyone arrives at San Jac with different educational backgrounds and skill sets. That’s why we offer a variety of tests to help you achieve your unique academic and career goals. Here are some of the exams available to take at our Testing Centers.
Texas Success Initiative (TSI)
The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requires that incoming students, unless exempt,
complete the TSI Assessment. This assessment is designed to help determine if a student
is ready to enroll in a college-level course, or if they would benefit from a preparatory
course.
Tests Available at San Jac
From the TCFP to CLEP exams, we offer several tests that anyone can take at our on-campus
Testing Centers.
Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Exam
Tests to help meet several certifications with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
CLEP Exams
Tests to earn credit toward your degree with the College Board's College Level Examination
Program.
Correspondence Tests
Tests for students and professionals working with another institution.
High School Equivalency Exams
Take a test to earn your certificate of high school equivalency.
Accuplacer ESL
The ESL is to help determine ESOL course placement for non-native English speakers.
