Before you can apply to the MRI program, you will need to apply and get accepted to San Jacinto College. Once that's done, follow the rest of the steps below.
All students applying to the MRI program are required to attend an information session before applying. In this session, you’ll learn everything you need to know about the program — and get access to the program application.
Next, request official transcripts from all the schools you’ve attended — including San Jacinto College. You will need to submit these to San Jac along with your program application.
Head to the Secure Online System (SOS). Here you will process and print your degree evaluation for the MRI program AAS degree. Choose the catalog (school) year you are applying for. Include with your application.
If you have any national or state recognized certifications in a healthcare field, gather those and submit them with your program application.
Before you can apply to the MRI program, you’ll need to receive a grade of C or higher
in the following required prerequisite courses:
Required for all medical imaging AAS students, the HESI A2 exam is a 4.5 -hour timed, computerized test that evaluates your readiness for the program. Be sure to read the HESI A2 instruction packet.
When you’ve completed the above steps you’re ready to apply to the MRI program. Submit
an application between April 1-June 1. You’ll be notified within two to three weeks
after the application deadline.
Applications will be evaluated with our admission scoring rubric.
